Happy Birthday Braxton!

We celebrated Braxtons birthday all week long. We went to Chuck E Cheese with Ryans family. Poor Ryan slaved all day to make a cake for Braxton. It was gonna be so cute. When we were in the parking lot I dropped the cake. I was so sad. Braxton had been wanting the cake all day and was so excited that he would get to eat it soon. I felt like a horrible mother! Once we were inside and he saw all the kids playing I don't think he even thought about the cake.

So we ate pizza, played games, and then it was time to open presents. Emily and Scott gave him Mr.Potato Head and he loves it. Scott and Heidi gave him an alien action figure that reminds Ryan of Emperor Zurg from Toy Story. Grandma and Grandpa Walker gave Braxton a Smart Cycle and games to go with it.

He cant figure out how to peddle yet but I am sure the more he pratices the more he will get it.

We decorated the house for his birthday. He loved all the balloons and streamers. That only held his attention for one second and then he saw his basketball hoop and he hasn't stopped playing with it since.

We had a dinner for my side of the family. I made the mistake of having cake before presents. All he wanted to do was play with the figurines that were on his cake.

He got a lot of great presents from my family including this table from my mom. Braxton loves this table. We dont let him eat on it yet because he likes to throw his food all over the living room.

This is a picture of Braxton with his first $50. Grandpa and Grandma Little sent it to him. We had a fun week with Braxton and I cant believe my baby is already 2.

Las Vegas

A few weeks ago we went to visit Heidi and her family in Las Vegas. Braxton was good on the ride down except for the last half hour. As soon as we got there Meghan and Claire were super excited and had to show me everything in their house. It was so cute and funny.

The first day we went swimming. Braxton HATES swimming and it took him about 40 minutes to finally warm up to the idea. After swimming we went and got a ice cream at Ben and Jerrys. It was free ice cream day and members from Thunder from Down Under were there scooping ice cream. It was great!

Getting Braxton to sleep anywhere but his bed was VERY DIFFICULT. After 2 hours we were able to get him to fall asleep. He slept in Claires bed until about 4. He woke up scared and screaming. He screamed for a good 10 minutes (sorry Scott and Heidi) He ended up sleeping with us the rest of the night and the next night.

Braxton loved playing in their backyard. He especially liked their trampoline. Hopefully someday we can get him one. He also like throwing rocks down the slide. Thanks Heidi for letting us come and stay it was really fun.

Easter Egg Hunt

Today Ryan and I took Braxton to the Provo Maceys to meet the Easter Bunny. I wasn't sure how Braxton would react but I thought it would hopefully be something fun we could go do. There were 9 different places throughout the store that you went to get an easter egg. After we went to three stations we went to meet the easter bunny. Braxton got his face painted and they made him bunny ears. Braxton wasnt to sure about the Easter Bunny but he sat in his lap long enough for us to get pictures. Braxton had a lot of fun getting candy. Anyone who knows Braxton knows how much he LOVES chocolate or sweets of any kind.

Ashleys Bridal Shower

My Grandma Steele and I threw Ashley a bridal shower this weekend. The first game we played was called wedding dress. They had to make a wedding dress out of three rolls of toilet paper and some tape. Then Ashley chose the best one. The winner was Annas team!

The next game we played Ashley had to answer 27 questions about Jordan. If she got it wrong she had to have a piece of gum. If she got it right she got a bag. The bag either had a prize in it or gum. Lets just say she had a lot of gum in her mouth by the end.

We had ice cream sandwiches for refreshments. Braxton really like them. I would really like to thank my mother in law for letting us have the shower at her house. I am REALLY sorry that Braxton got gum in your carpet. Thank goodness for goo gone!

We had Janae Campbell take Braxton's 2 year pictures. She did an amazing job! I loved how they turned out. Here are some of my favorites:

This is so Braxton. He is always drooling.

Mom and Braxton

Braxtons birthday is in about a month and with Ashleys wedding two days before his birthday I decided I needed to start planning a little bit early. Braxton loves YO GABBA GABBA and I thought it would be fun to have a YO GABBA GABBA party. So I went to Party Land and Zurchers to see if I could find anything. Animal Ark is right next to Party Land and Braxton loves puppies so we went in to see what we could find. He LOVED looking at the puppies, rats, rabbits, and fish. He even kissed one of the puppies through the glass. We were in there for about fifteen minutes and it was really hard getting him to leave.

I wasn't able to find anything at partyland so we headed to Zurchers. Braxton was being so good that I bought him a balloon.

After we couldn't find anything at Zurchers we headed to Target. As soon as we walked in to Target Braxton said "eat drink". So we got a pretzel and some rootbeer. Once he had those two things he was good to go shopping. I wasn't able to find any Yo GABBA GABBA party favors but luckily I can get them on the internet. I was so concentrated on finding the party favors that I forgot to go the mall and get Braxton a belt. Poor guy!

We ended the day off by going to Walmart. I bought Braxton a YO GABBA GABBA kite. He really loves it. It was really fun to spend the day with Braxton. He is so funny and I love him so much.
