Happy Pioneer Day
Since Ryan had to work on the 4th of July we decided to do fireworks on the 24th. We bought a big pack of fireworks that we planned on lighting off with Ashley and Jordan after Braxton went to bed. We got snaps, smoke balls, and flowers to do with Braxton. He thought the snaps were really funny. However, the smoke balls and flowers terrified him. He was so terrified we decided to let him play outside for awhile. That always seems to calm him down. He was played in his car FOREVER. He decided he was done playing and started to climb out and he fell into the rose bush and scrape his arm. He cried for a minute but was ok. We played outside until it was time for bed. After we put him in bed Ashley and Jordan came and we watched fireworks. We had a lot of fun. I hardly ever hang out with Ashley and I really miss it.
After Ashley and Jordan left Ryan and I watch Coraline in 3D. We had a fun day and hope there will be more to follow. Ryan is finally going to work during the day!!!! YAY He is always so tired and ornery that we never do things as a family. I hope that once his body is adjusted he will do better.

Girls Day Out (with Braxton)
Ryan has been needing some alone time for quite awhile and today he finally got it! Braxton and I went to Gardner Village with my mom and sister. My mom wanted to go to a purse store and I wanted to take Braxton to the petting zoo. The petting zoo was the first thing we did. Braxton went on a pony ride! I don't think he liked it much. He REALLY liked looking at the girl riding the horse behind us though. There were goats, pigs, cows, sheep, donkeys, and rabbits walking around. Braxton liked looking at the animals but he didn't want to touch them.
He found a pig he really liked to look at and I had a hard time getting him to leave. After the petting zoo we went to lunch. It was a pretty EMBARRASSING lunch. Braxton is the most stubborn person on the planet. If he doesn't get exactly what he wants he SCREAMS so loud until you give it to him. He loves to throw food, menus, forks, and whatever else he can get his hands on onto the floor. He especially loves to do it when he knows you don't want him too. So basically the entire lunch he was throwing a tantrum and making huge messes.
After our lunch we went shopping. Ashley and Braxton liked to wait outside in the shade while my mom and I shopped. My mom and sister didn't find anything they wanted but I did. I have been looking for a certain diaper bag and I finally found it. I was pretty excited. I know Braxton is 15 months and I don't really need a new diaper bag but it was way cute. On the way home Braxton fell asleep with a candy cane in his hand. He was way asleep but if you took that candy cane out of his hand he would wake up crying for it. It was hilarious. I had a fun day and was glad to get out of the house for a few hours.
This part is for you Dana. Over a year ago Dana (Ryan's mother-in-law) bought us a ceiling fan. Ryan has been resistant to put up the fan because last time he put up a fan his parents sold their house and he was afraid it was a curse. That as soon as he put ours up we would have to move. I guess the heat finally broke him down though. Thanks Dana our bedroom with be nice and cool.

4th of July weekend
Ryan had to work in Nephi the 4th of July weekend so Braxton and I decided to tag along. Every year since I was a little girl I went to the Nephi city park for the 4th of July Carnival. It was something I always looked forward to. So I was so excited to be able to take Braxton this year. His favorite game there was the froggie pond. They had a water table set up that had froggies floating in it and you caught them with a net. It took him a couple times to get use to it but once he caught on it was hard to pull him away. We went to the park with my mom,Ashley, Aunt Anna, Uncle Rick, cousin Raidyn and cousin Madye. Raidyn and Madye took Braxton on a paddy wagon ride. I was worried that he would scream and try to jump out but he had a really good time. With the tickets braxton won from the froggie pond we were able to get him a couple of cute toys. I also got a giant foam hat for Ashley and I got my mom a pink camo hat (she wanted it to embarrass my dad).
Later that day we went up the canyon and celebrated Raidyn's birthday. It was nice to go up there and just relax and enjoy each others company. Recently Braxton has become more independent and he wants to get into everything. While we were there "relaxing" he decided it would be fun to play in the fire pit, mud and sprinklers. Lets just say by the end of the night he was pretty dirty. After dinner we went to watch the fireworks. It was raining and there was lightning. We thought it would blow over in time for the fireworks but it didn't so they canceled the fireworks.
Ashley stayed in Nephi with me on Saturday night. Sunday we decided it would be really fun to fill up my sd card for the camera. That would of been around 3,500 pictures. We drove around nephi taking pictures of Braxton at the park, our old house, buildings that we liked, and the fairgrounds. While we were out driving around my cameras battery died. We tried to find ways to charge the battery but we couldn't find a way. We were really bummed because we only got about fifty pictures. Oh well we had a lot of fun while it lasted. It was a really fun weekend but I was so glad to come home.
